Hi, I’m Rick Peterson and along with my wife Patti, own PowerLift Hydraulic Doors Inc. Our company philosophy is simple: we value and are committed to our customers, our families, our employees and our reputation.

I started a welding repair shop in Lake Benton, Minnesota in 1988. I built the first commercial hydraulic door in Minnesota in1992 for a farmer who thought a one piece door would be easier to operate. When you look at all the advantages and value of a PowerLift Hydraulic Door it’s no wonder that the business has kept expanding.

We built a new shop in 2008. The new facility allowed us to better meet the needs of our growing customer base. Eventually even the new building wasn’t enough. After receiving several calls from folks outside our usual service area, we knew we had to start doing things differently.

We decided upon the concept of collaborating with other shops to build and install Powerlift Hydraulic doors. Priority one was to find shops that would be of the same mindset and business values. The associates would have to be willing to do what it takes to produce the best hydraulic doors and provide the ultimate in customer service.

To date, we have found twelve such shops with the PowerLift Hydraulic door being built domestically in North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee. We cover all the central plains region of the United States. Currently two locations in Canada provide our product for our friends to the north. Most importantly all twelve partners share the same vision: build the best hydraulic door at the highest value while maintaining superior customer service. We honestly treat customers in the same way we want to be treated.
